LAS VEGAS (AP) — Las Vegas police say a 19-year-old woman is critically injured after her father shot her and then turned the gun on himself.
Authorities say they were called a little after 6 p.m. Tuesday to an apartment complex on East Lake Mead Boulevard, near Pecos Road.
Police Lt. Mark Reddon says it appears the two got into an argument and the man shot his daughter several times in the torso.
The man was found dead at the scene of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The daughter was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition but is expected to survive.
